You who have followed our social media during the last hour or 2 have noticed that something has been going on, to put it mildly.
In the car to work this morning I had a discussion with Mrs. K about me not being sure that our 16th album will actually see the light of day in a foreseeable future as the pace of donations has been very slow.
Yesterday we were just over $7000 and today we are at muthafucken $10000!!!
And this is thanx to… ONE… FELLOW… SWEDE!
You read that right. He donated $3000 dollars. THREE. THOUSAND. DOLLARS.
Read that again, coz trust me; I have tried to grasp this the whole day.
148 of you made us reach the budget this time around. A bunch of you have obviously donated way, way more than the asked 150 SEK or we wouldn’t be here. I can never thank you enough. Not even close.
All I can do is put in all of my being into what I create with TPH, this completely egoistical musical vision of mine.
As said, I wasn’t sure this album would come out in 2025 as initially planned. It looked to be the longest running TPH DONATION EXPERIMENT since the start of these Experiments.
It turned out to be the shortest. You made this happen in exactly 100 days.
I can not fucken do this in this way without you. I can not fucken do this in this way without the incredible work that Jörgen Sandström, Ellinor Asp, Lasse Johansson, Dirk Verbeuren and Dan Swanö put in. I can not fucken pay all these people to fulfill my needs for TPH if it weren’t for YOU, the Haters. TPH in this form can absolutely not be done without you, as mentioned tons of times. Always remember that, and be proud of what you make possible, over and over again.
It’s mind-blowing to me.
When I say that a fuckload of weight have been lifted off my shoulders now is an understatement that is borderline illegal.
I can’t remember the exact day when I started to compose for this 16th album, but usually this process happens a few weeks after the release of the “new” album at the time. It just happens when it happens. I never plan for it, and I always think I’ll take an extended break after completing a recording, coz doing TPH is such a beast of a thing to complete. It takes fucken everything out of me, which is exactly how I want it. I want to feel empty when I’m done, coz that means I gave it everything I had.
I always strive to go further into the abyss with every record. I want to push myself harder, I want more layers and details in there. I want to feel even MORE emptiness than the last time an album was completed. With this coming record, I have spent more time composing and working with everything than EVER before. It’s the same story every goddamn time, but I have even surprised myself with how far into lunacy mode I can go without actually becoming a full scholar lunatic, with diplomas and all.
I believe it’s high time to thank my wonderful wife, Kathrin, for baring with me when I go into this state. Coz it’s not often I’m out of it.
With all that said; me and Dan Swanö have now planned to start mixing “UNDIVINE DETHRONING” in June. This means that it should be out by the end of summer, 2025. I can’t say that’s definite coz shit can always happen along the way, but this is what I am going for as far as a release is concerned. I will keep you updated on this when the mixing session starts, of course.

I said that when we reach the budget, you’ll get the album title and perhaps even the album cover, remember? Obviously, I thought this would (at best) happen during the summer, haha… The cover art isn’t done but Ogino Design is working on it as I type. As soon as it’s ready, you’ll see it. Hey, at least you got the song titles (those were revealed on social media as we went along) and album title now, that must count for something, huh?
I don’t have much more to say right now as I need to go around the house and see where the fuck my head is coz that last $3000 donation made it explode.
You people are fucken spectacular.
